Some of Louise’s Cases:

Accidents at work:

P –v- V

Louise obtained substantial compensation for her client who was seriously injured in an accident at work. As a result of the injuries sustained in the accident, she was unable to work. The client suffered from a rare, degenerative, ankle injury and the medical issues in the case were complex. The defendants argued that the symptoms from which the client was suffering had not been caused by the accident, but this argument was succesfuly overcome and a very satisfactory settlement was obtained for the client. Louise’s client received substantial compensation.

P v SR
In this case Louise's client was injured at work. The client suffered a head injury which had far reaching consequences for him in all aspects of his life. Louise was able to secure interim funding from the Defendants for a course of treatment for from a consultant psychologist. The treatment enabled Louise's client to continue in his work and significantly improved his quality of life.

Louise was able to negotiate substantial compensation for Mr. P.

B v C
In this claim Louise acted for a young person who had sustained a back injury at work. Liability was denied throughout but at trial the client was successful and was awarded compensation. Whilst the client's injuries were relatively minor, Louise ensured the client was provided with her full support throughout the case, through to its satisfactory conclusion.

G v SDH
Louise acted for a client injured at work whilst on the premises of another organisation. Louise’s client sustained a back and neck injury which prevented him from working.

Louise's client was nearing retirement age when she successfully obtained a substantial settlement for her client to include compensation for the client's loss of earnings through to retirement. This gave the client the security of knowing he would not have further financial worries as a consequence of the accident.

Road Traffic Accident Cases:

L v W
In this case Louise acted for a client who was injured in a road traffic accident. The client broke his leg in the accident and subsequent complications meant he was significantly restricted in the work and activities which he could undertake. Louise successfully secured a six-figure settlement for her client.

W v M
Louise successfully acted for an elderly client who tripped whilst in the premises of a well known retailer. The client tripped over a low trolley which had been left partially obstructing an aisle. The client sustained a cut to her head and shock. Liability for the accident was initially denied by the Defendant, but Louise was able to secure a settlement for the client before proceedings had to be issued at Court. Because Louise's client was in poor health, for reasons unrelated to the accident, Louise ensured throughout that all meetings took place either at the client's house or by telephone, enabling the client to proceed with her claim with the least amount of disruption or inconvenience for the client.

B v K
Louise successfully acted for a client who was injured whilst riding his bicycle. The client injured his wrists as a consequence of the accident.

Our client was a successful amateur boxer who had ambitions to turn professional, but was prevented from doing so as a consequence of the injuries he sustained in the accident. The case was complicated both in terms of the medical evidence and also the evidence which needed to be gathered to show the likely prospects of the client having a successful professional boxing career. Despite this Louise was able to provide the necessary evidence, and obtained a substantial settlement for the client based upon the loss of the chance for him to pursue his career as a professional boxer.
