Slip On Wet Steps
Mr C
Represented by Huw Thomas
The client in this case was the tenant of a basement flat belonging to a Housing Association. The flat was accessed by going down a flight of stone steps. The steps were affected by a leak from an adjacent pipe and became slippery. The client slipped and sustained injuries to his wrist and back.
Initially the defendant did not admit liability.
In the end there was an admission of liability from the defendant, and part of the compensation award provided payment for physiotherapy treatment. A four figure sum was obtained in settlement.
