Accident Outside A Newsagents
Ms B
Represented by Huw Thomas
The claimant in this case had left work with a friend and was going for a drink. She was walking towards a newsagents shop to purchase some cigarettes when she tripped over the metal grille of a newspaper hoarding which was standing outside the shop. She fell on the pavement and sustained a knee injury. We took up her case and initially contacted the owner of the newsagents. We were then referred to the owner of the newspaper hoarding, who ultimately admitted liability.
With the help of the defendant, we arranged for an MRI scan to be carried out. An interim payment was obtained to fund physiotherapy. We obtained a four figure sum in compensation for the client.
